Gov't to bear portion of costs of wolf killing of livestock in new legislation

Congress has approved legislation the president will sign, requiring the federal government to bear a portion of the costs of livestock killed by wolves, and to help fund prevention efforts, such as electric fences. The idea is to reimburse landowners the cost of wolf killed animals to maintain public acceptance of wolves after they were first delisted from the endangered species list last year.
