Haylie Shipp grew up on a cattle ranch north of Glasgow, MT. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 2003 and went on to graduate from Miles Community College in 2005. In Miles City, she was a founding member of the Miles Community College Ag Club as well as their first secretary. She moved to Billings to attend Montana State University Billings following her graduation from Miles City. As of May 2008, she is a college graduate! Her major was in mass communications. She also obtained a minor in biology.
Haylie has been awarded the National Association of Farm Broadcasting’s Glenn Kummerow Memorial Scholarship and the Billings Broadcasters Association Scholarship. Montana State University-Billings also named her their Cooperative Education Student of the year for the Arts and Sciences Department. She graduated as valedictorian from Miles City and received Magna Cum Laude honors from MSU-Billings.
Haylie came to the Northern Ag Network as an intern in 2006 and worked full-time for Northern Ag from 2008-2014. Haylie currently works for her hometown radio station affiliates KLTZ/KLAN in Glasgow, Montana while providing News in Agriculture programming part-time to the Northern Ag Network.
