On Friday night the Wolf Point Wolves the defending state class "B" boys champs and Plentywood played almost two complete games! Wolf Point won 68-66 in 6 over times. The 6 over times ties the state record first set in 1964 when Scobey beat Nashua 68-66 and Manhattan Christian got by Ennis 99-96 back in 1996. The last 6 over time game before last Friday's was Lambert 80 Brockton 77 in 1985.
Please listen to my show with Wolf Point head coach Kelly Nieskens and A.D. Mike Erickson.

I remember the Vida Vikings beating Frontier in seven overtimes back in 1969.

That brings back some old memories. Frontier was a small school east of Wolf Point on the Circle highway. The Lustre Tigers (7th and 8th graders) played Frontier and Vida twice a year back in the '60's and '70's. (Maybe they still do.) In '69 we lost to Vida in a triple overtime game.
