In 2009 Allen, Texas voters passed a $119 bond. Sixty million of that went to build an 18,000 seat high school football stadium! It's called the palace for high school! The stadium also includes a 38 foot wide high-definition video screen. This is not even the biggest high school football stadium in Texas. Thirty miles down the road in Mesquite they have a stadium that seats 20,000. For the first game of the season last weekend Allen had 2,000 fans standing to watch the game. By the way they even have 700 in their marching band!
