BILLINGS — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ Duck Creek fishing access site will close temporarily this week for rehabilitation and repairs.
The site, on the Yellowstone River west of Billings, will close Wednesday through Friday while ExxonMobil Pipeline contractors rehabilitate roads and parking areas. The area will reopen to the public by 5 p.m. Friday – or earlier if the gravel and grading work is completed.
ExxonMobil Pipeline used the site extensively during July, August and September to stage boats and crews used to clean up a July 1 oil spill. The company rebuilt much of the boat ramp in July to mitigate damage from spring flooding.
