An archery only management season hunt has been extended for the area in and adjacent to the town of Glendive, Montana. The City of Glendive has requested and has been given approval to extend the hunt to February 15, 2012 in an effort to reduce the number of mule deer in and immediately adjacent to town.
For this management season hunt, archery hunting is the only means of take due to safety concerns imposed by the proximity to residential areas and businesses. There are 164 licenses available and they can be obtained from any license agent starting January 11, 2012.
