Former Congressman Denny Rehberg (R-MT) dropped by the Northern Broadcasting studios this morning. He was updating everyone on his latest business ventures, as he and his wife have purchased properties in Billings, Missoula, Kalispell, and Sidney. So I figured, let's get him on the air and see what he's been up to.
Since I had been hearing rumors that he was considering jumping into the 2014 race for US House race in Montana, I figured I would ask him.
To my surprise, not only did he mention that he wasn't ruling out a run- he added that he was seriously considering running again for the seat he held for over a decade before losing the attention- grabbing US Senate race to Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) in 2012.
REHBERG: "I am seriously looking at that House seat again, I did have it for 12 years. It's not that I feel anything other than drawn back to public service. I like business, I like creating jobs, but at the same time I can tell you where the problems are in our tax policy, our spending policy, and I think I can bring some experience. We've got to fix this."

I can't think of a better way to send Walsh to Washington representing Montana than for the brain dead Republican party to run boat crashing, fireman suing, gin drinking Denny Rehberg for office again.
The guy is a loser who never accomplished anything... stick a for in him!

It was nice to hear Denny again. So knowledgeable in all things legislative, but, I don't think he should run for Daines' seat. He's been there, done that. He would again just be 1 of 400+ in the House. Either run for Baucus' seat or wait a couple of years and run for governor or tester's seat. I would certainly support him in that.
Also, I'm sorry to hear he would not try to repeal some of the laws that are dragging us down. Kind of a defeatist attitude. In my view, we should repeal ESA and the Dept.s of Education and Energy, for starters. Such a waste they all are. These may not be considered practical but still time to rattle their cages.
Please pass on to Denny with my kindest regards.

It's easy to say you are going to "create jobs" but no one has yet accomplished that feat nor has any one running for an office explained just HOW they are going to get'er done.
It's easy to say "We need to fix our tax problems" but I say to you, Denny...you had twelve years as our representative and our "tax problems" didn't get any better...just worse.
You had twelve years to "fix" immigration. Is it fixed?
By tossing more money at education for twelve years is our education system better or worse now? I think we all know the answer to that one. 25th in math and 23 in science world-wide. Just about where we were when you first took office. (But our teens and twenty-somethings can beat any one in the world at video gaming.
In my humble opinion Steve Daines is doing a great job and needs to be left alone to continue his work.
If any one needs replacing it is Jon " American Farmer" Tester (please...somebody) but you couldn't even get that job done Denny.
It's not meant to be critisizm Denny...Just stating fact.

Vinny, you realize that Rehberg wouldn't be running against Walsh, right?

My bad! Walsh is running for the Senate seat.
Still, Denny has lost to Baucus, he has lost to Tester, and now he refuses to run for that Senate seat he coveted against the nobody corrupt Walsh.
I have no doubt that Denny can pull off a loss against any piece of liberal trash the Dems will run for the House, because the patriots, who comprise the critical middle 10%, remember that Denny supported the Patriot act and the 100 mile Constitution Free zone. The refused to vote for him last time, and they will reject him again!
