Registered Sex Offender Sentenced To Federal Prison For Child Porn

A registered sex offender who once lived in Helena received a 10-year federal prison sentence Thursday after admitting to possessing child poronography. Domenick James Howard, 29, acknowledged having sexually explicit images and videos of children.

University Of Montana Lecturers To Stay For Full School Year Per Agreement With Main Hall

The University of Montana rescinded its attempt to cut short yearlong contracts with more than 30 lecturers Thursday, after the faculty union brokered an agreement. The union filed a formal grievance against the administration in August, citing the university’s own rules that give lecturers a guanantee of two semesters of employment before being let go.

Columbia Grain Eyes Plentywood Pea And Lentil Market For Major Investment

Convinced that Montana peas and lentils are here to stay, Columbia Grain says it will build a large pulse crop processing plant near Plentywood. The Oregon-based company said last week it will be able to deouble the amount of peas and lentils it currently takes from 150 area farmers.
