County Wants Public Input On Making Election Duties Appointed Position

Gallatin County Commissioners voted 2-0 Tuesday to consider making the elections administrator an appointed role, rather than an elected position, and separate it from the clerk and recorder’s duties. Over the last three years, Gallatin County has had 19 elections, and some of those elections have overlapped, causing the office to work harder to keep up with election regulation and deadlines.
