Top Ten Greatest High School Football Records!

So what do you think are some of the best high school football records of all time?  Well my list I’m sure will not match many but this is my top ten!

10.  340 wins and 13 state titles for Coach Jack Johnson of CMR!

9.  The 1954 Scobey football team!  Back in 1954 the Scobey Spartans not only went undeafted but they also never even gave up a score!

8.  Chase Reynolds of Drummond rushed for more than 5,200 yards, plus he averaged more than a first down a carry!
7.  In 2013 Butte Q.B. Dallas Cook averaged a state record 455 yards of total offense per game!

6.  Heart Butte R.B. Chasin Kipp not once but twice during the 2016 football season broke the state single game rushing record!  He went for 553 yards on September 2 than 597 and 11 T.D.’s on October 14!

5.  So what’s the state record for the longest field goal?  Back in 1997 Travis Dorsch of Bozeman set the record when he booted one from 63 yards out!

4.  624 yards is the record for the most passing yards in a single game!  That record was set on October 7, 1995 by Chris Klien of Billings Central.

3.  It’s hard to believe that Bakers 37 game road winning streak is a not in the top two.  From 1998 to 2004 Baker never lost away from home!

2.  From 2003 to 2009 the state’s most dominate football team was the class “C” Drummond Trojans!  During those 9 seasons Drummond went 70-6 and won 7 state titles!  Plus during that run they outscored their opponents 4,059 to 612!

And the number one Montana high school football record of all time…..head coach Mike Gear and the Sidney Eagles winning seven state football titles in a row!  From 1987 to 1993 Sidney won the state “A” football crown each and every year!
