    9:00 AM-10:00 AM
    February 5, 2018
We all crave intimacy. It’s essential to our emotional and spiritual health, and without it we don’t feel whole. Yet today our culture faces an intimacy crisis. Many of us, even when we’re in a committed relationship, still feel painfully alone.

For more than four decades, world-renowned author, counselor, and teacher Manis Friedman has empowered couples to successfully navigate their own intimacy crisis and replace loneliness and unfulfilled expectations with a deeply soulful and satisfying relationship. In this refreshingly frank, sensible, and at times humorous guide, Rabbi Friedman and Ricardo Adler share the deeper truths at the heart of our longing for intimacy along with practical wisdom from Jewish tradition—insights anyone can use to recapture passion, save their relationship, and tap into the essence of the true intimate experience.

You’ll learn how to overcome the greatest obstacles to a healthy intimate relationship and explore secrets to preserving your natural spontaneity, setting the mood for intimacy, and making your bedroom a sacred space. You’ll also learn how to increase your sensitivity to the sacred experience of oneness that has the power to transform every aspect of your marriage and nourish all those around you.

Whether you are married or single, in a relationship or seeking to create one that is both meaningful and lasting, The Joy of Intimacy will give you the skills and confidence you need to keep your relationship alive, fresh, and fulfilling.

Seth Bodnar--New President of the University Of Montana

    9:00 AM-10:00 AM
    February 6, 2018

Seth Bodnar is an innovative and collaborative leader with a track record of success in building effective teams and helping people and organizations reach their full potential. Having successfully led in both the public and private sectors, he is experienced in shaping the strategy of an organization and providing the vision, voice, and visibility needed for growth and long-term vitality.

Seth has deep roots in education and firmly believes in the power of higher education to transform lives and communities. The son of two educators, he is passionate about teaching and mentorship and has received multiple honors for his leadership and coaching. Seth graduated first in his class from West Point, received both the Rhodes and Truman scholarships, and earned two masters degrees from the University of Oxford. He served as an assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences at West Point, where he taught economics, published research on economic development in conflict areas, mentored cadets applying for post-graduate scholarships, and led field training courses on leadership. Seth continues to serve as an Army Reserve officer and a visiting faculty member at West Point, and he is a board member of The Positivity Project, a non-profit organization focused on character education.

Prior to his time on faculty at West Point, Seth had a distinguished military career, serving in the 101st Airborne Division and the US Army’s First Special Forces Group.  As a member of the Army’s elite Green Berets, he commanded a Special Forces detachment on multiple deployments around the world and later served as a special assistant to the Commanding General in Iraq. As a result of his collaborative leadership style and his ability to lead teams through uncertainty and change, he received numerous awards and was promoted early to the rank of Major.

Currently, Seth is a senior executive at the General Electric Company, where he is responsible for long-term strategy and business transformation at GE Transportation, a global company with over 10,000 employees and approximately $5 billion in revenue.  Previously, he was President of GE Transportation’s Digital Solutions business and was GE Transportation’s first-ever Chief Digital Officer. In this capacity, Seth merged multiple teams from across GE – along with two acquired companies – into an integrated business with approximately 1,500 employees around the world.  By implementing a rigorous operating process and a cohesive, mission-driven strategy, he and his team dramatically improved the business’s operational performance, launched innovative new products, and enabled double-digit growth.

An effective communicator with varied audiences, Seth is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences globally and has been an invited speaker to the United States Congress on technology and innovation.

Seth’s love for Montana bloomed while studying at Oxford, where he met fellow Rhodes scholar and his future wife, Chelsea Elander, a fifth-generation Montanan and native of Missoula. Chelsea is a pediatrician and a graduate of Hellgate High School, MSU-Bozeman, Oxford, and Harvard Medical School. Chelsea and Seth have three children and currently live outside Chicago, Illinois.

    Brian Wilson-Montana Conservation Corps

    9:00 AM-10:00 AM
    February 7, 2018

Brian Wilson is the assistant director of individual permanant placement with the Montana Conservation Corps.

“Inspiring young people through hands-on conservation service to be leaders, stewards of the land, and engaged citizens who improve their communities.”

Each year we enroll hundreds of young adults and school-aged youth in our AmeriCorps and Youth Service Expedition programs. The first three months are spent teaching leaders wilderness, leadership, and interpersonal skills as part of our highly-acclaimed Leadership Development Program. Our leaders then pass those skills along to their crews of members, as they live, learn, and serve together in some of our country’s wildest places. They complete conservation projects in local communities, national forests, state and national parks, wildlife refuges and federally designated wilderness areas.

We strive to give participants the experience of a lifetime through challenging projects and the rigors of life outdoors, coupled with education developed specifically to create engaged citizens and lifelong environmental stewards. We find that a term with Montana Conservation Corps is the ideal habitat to discover personal growth, increased confidence, communication, and leadership skills, and the ability to work well with people from all walks of life.

Our goal is that each participant will leave MCC with the following: an ethic of volunteer service and civic responsibility; strengthened communication and team-building skills; enhanced competencies to be leaders and contributing team members; increased knowledge of the natural environment; and an enthusiasm for the benefits of hard work and quality results.
