    Coming up this Thursday on Voices of Montana, Colter Brown has an exciting show talking about industrial hemp. With grain prices the lowest they’ve been in several years, hemp has become an interesting opportunity for Montana farmers. We’re going to be joined by Conrad farmer Colby Johnson who’s been growing hemp from years and will tell us about the challenges and the opportunity this new crop presents.

    Senator Steve Daines will also  talk with us about hemp being removed from the controlled substances list as well as the challenges producers have had this year getting seed out of Canada.

    Lastly, Montana Department of Agriculture Director Ben Thomas will join us on the phone from Washington where he’s talking with both the house and senate ag committees about Montana’s hemp program.
